Account Development Manager

Responsibilities and Key Goals

The Account Development Manager (ADM) is responsible for overall client growth, satisfaction, and retention. The ADM develops integrated account plans to increase revenue and traffic for clients. The ADM is responsible for driving strategic plans with their clients and the ADM team. This position is the single point of contact for strategic accounts, so any candidate should be able to multi-task multiple projects for several client contacts. The ADM also establishes executive contacts within their accounts.

Strong understanding of DirectTrack is essential in order to grow the client’s existing business and find new revenue opportunities within the client’s organization. The ADM identifies needs/solutions, for both clients and DRT, and then follows through on the execution. ADMs also motivate and mentor their peers, while sharpening their training skills. In addition to working with their clients, the ADM also leads internal continuous improvement teams. The ADM must be able to balance tactical client needs while leading/driving strategic initiatives. The ADM is also responsible for the use of DRT’s best practices to maximize sales and increase customer satisfaction.

Core Job Duties

  • Account Development: develop, present and implement marketing proposals consistent with client strategy and DRT’s goals
  • Proactive approach to account service, managing client satisfaction and client expectations
  • Client retention and revenue growth
  • Working with clients to develop a strategy to increase their revenue
  • Forecasting sales and up-sell opportunities
  • Developing and implementing a client communication plan and selling additional products and services
  • Resolving client technical and account-related issues
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project delivery handling, customer service escalations and project management

Work Environment

This is a fulltime position in a fast-paced changing environment with the possibility for periodic travel. It offers excellent opportunity for growth as well as career advancement within DRT. The ADM will work in DRT offices and report directly to Director of Client Services.

Key Target Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of Account Management/Sales/Marketing/Project Management experience required
  • Direct Marketing experience desired

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Independent, self-motivated, and success driven
  • Strong computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Technical aptitude

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or corresponding experience
